Evermark — a portfolio that owns popular brands like Suave, Chapstick, and Q-Tips — was writing off hundreds of retailer deductions. In days, Glimpse’s AI identified seven figures in invalid retailer deductions that Evermark never would have recovered otherwise.
CPG brands lose millions in completely recoverable revenue each year.
When CPG brands ship products to a major retailer — Walmart, Target, Amazon — the retailer often pays less than the invoice. These short pays are called "deductions." Sometimes they’re valid. Often they aren’t.
The problem: most brands don't have the time or staff to look at each deduction, figure out if it’s invalid, and contest the shortpay. At scale, that means millions in revenue owed to CPG brands just drains away.
That was the case at Evermark, which owns personal care brands like Suave, Chapstick, and Q-Tips. Their third-party deductions broker had a threshold: any deduction below $500 was automatically written off due to a lack of resources and time.
For enterprise brands, one $500 write-off is a drop in the bucket. But at scale, the sheer volume of deductions adds up to a torrent of lost revenue. Evermark’s sub-threshold write-offs had become a silent, abandoned revenue stream: invisible on any dashboard, never flagged as recoverable.
Glimpse ran a 12-month lookback across Evermark’s two largest retail channels. After two months, Glimpse’s AI had uncovered over in invalid shortage deductions that Evermark had written off. This was revenue that was recoverable all along: but Evermark’s team hadn’t had the time or resources to go after it.
Glimpse’s AI was able to tackle Evermark’s deduction problem at scale. In 24 hours, a single AI agent reviewed 17,000 shortage deductions: a task that would have taken a full-time employee two years to complete. Evermark didn’t have to add more headcount or onboard their teams with a new tool. Glimpse pulled the documents, checked the deductions, and uncovered the revenue automatically.
"Like most major CPG brands, Evermark had to input a dollar threshold for the deductions it was able to review, because there was simply not enough time or manpower to review every last one. By automating the process with Glimpse's AI, we've not only removed that threshold, but we've unlocked a new source of incoming cash flow that will bring in millions of dollars that were previously considered a 'write off' or cost of doing business."
Sean Quinn, Senior VP of FP&A, Evermark (parent company of Suave Brands & ChapStick)
Evermark was created in early 2026, when Yellowwood PE merged Suave and Elida Beauty. The combined business inherited two separate deduction operations running in parallel. While previously working with Suave, Glimpse’s modular infrastructure was able to stack onto operations across the full Evermark portfolio in under 60 days: without having to onboard new staff or disrupt existing systems. The same AI engine that had recovered deductions for Suave individually was now running across the entire Evermark portfolio — with no added headcount, no new infrastructure, and no disruption to the business.
